Anytime a new horse enters the herd she becomes Dory from Nemo "I will call you Squishy and you will be mine" and then follows them around totally attached to them until they get so annoyed they chase her away. Then she gets all sad until she picks someone else to latch onto for a while. He is GREAT with every horse I've put him with (save one, who was a total beezy so I don't care), but he does have a tendency to get a little up in their faces... and then he just leaves them alone. Winn can be a bit of a bully if another horse won't back down, which was proven when he bent the fence trying to climb through to get at a much shorter paint gelding that seemed to love to antagonize him. Oddly enough, he's now perfectly sweet to the old grey mare he is turned out next to and the young mare that is in the stall next to him.Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16560432669562291616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204283740895921092.post-2500249039462995322015-11-25T11:52:58.261-06:002015-11-25T11:52:58.261-06:00we have an older paso in my mare's field who b...we have an older paso in my mare's field who bonds very strongly to the stupid crazy batsh*t mares that always seem to be on hand (never, isabel, obvi haha) and becomes inconsolable whenever they leave the field. poor guy!emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05686949099663199382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204283740895921092.post-81381885629912766242015-11-25T11:12:43.250-06:002015-11-25T11:12:43.250-06:00Paddy can always sit on my couchPaddy can always sit on my couchMicaylahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09799043647759779897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204283740895921092.post-66324948004237842762015-11-25T10:21:56.550-06:002015-11-25T10:21:56.550-06:00Great article, thanks!Great article, thanks!jenjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737679332792618499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204283740895921092.post-75537431590342476432015-11-25T10:21:40.893-06:002015-11-25T10:21:40.893-06:00Yes, and he knows he's adorable and uses that ...Yes, and he knows he's adorable and uses that power for evil.jenjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737679332792618499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204283740895921092.post-23802646263277680762015-11-25T10:21:17.444-06:002015-11-25T10:21:17.444-06:00Bachelorettes, clearly! Moe is TOTALLY a "I'd rather be sitting on your couch" horse; if he spies a person standing within a 50 food radius of his paddock gate, he makes a beeline to the gate and stares at them, hoping for treats or pats or anything, really. He follows people around when he's loose. He has zero concept of personal space.
