It's just something you do. Then I ended up with an eventer for training, and all of the sudden changes were this BIG thing. I still don't completely get it from the eventer perspective. I mean, they jump courses, too, even at low levels. Straight dressage makes a little more sense if they aren't required early on. I like the pole for timin...Wow, that is expressive. I like the pole for timing, it does help. I totally let trainer and WS put changes on my mare first. Pretty much because I didn't wanna ride thru what you did, lol. Major props to you. My mare would get so worked up over schooling changes, but just roll into them in a course, they can be so weird about them. I had to sit just the right way with changes or CC, but if I found the sweet spot and held myself together she was so easy. Lots of practice for us both.
