Help a Haffie out - I need a name!

Hi there.

You might remember me - I'm the new Haffie.

My new Mom and Dad are trying to figure out what my name is, but so far they're terrible parents and haven't found one. 

I mean, how hard can it be? I'm gorgeous and adorable.

I came with "Avery" but it's just not me.

They tried "Armani"

Tristan

Merlin

Piper?

Samson

Chaucer

Galahad (what a mouthful!)


Lancelot (seriously guys could we get away from the Arthurian theme?)

But they're just... not me.

Help a Haffie out?

(Notes from the humans: H2.0 is shy, but sticks like glue once he gets to know you. Like literally must be touching you with his nose at all times. He's not confident himself but gets his confidence from you. Tries hard to please under saddle but also comes with the requisite Haffie tricks for getting out of work. Unlike Paddy, he's not aware he's adorable. He's probably the most talkative horse I've ever met. He's also crazy athletic.

Name must be something suitable for a dressage and/or jousting horse. Name must also still fit him if that crazy mane happens to be removed. Name must not cause any embarrassment when I yell it across the pasture at 6 am. Bonus points if it's as cute as Paddington Bear.)

      We actually already know a Pooh Bear. Also I am not yelling "POOOOOOH" at 6 am for all the neighbors to hear. You try it. :D

    I second Thor, Odin, Firefoot (and also second Chris Hemsworth showing up in my barn!)

    I also think it would be cool if you went with a mythological beast in keeping with your farm name of Wyvern Oaks. Gryphon would be my favorite (and he's lion coloured) but there's many others that could work too...

    You should name him after my favorite literary horse. Faran is a war horse belonging to a Pandion Knight named Sparhawk. He is cranky and irritable, however it is because he is so in tuned with his owner he mirrors Sparhawks personality. If you are curious Faran is in two series the Elenium and the Tamuli by David Eddings.

    Or since you hvae a Paddy, go with the Irish theme - Riley, Seamus and the like.
    Irish knights? Fiann (plural Fianna) were Irish warriors, Cuchulainn, Conchobar.

    Koda - the bear cub from animated movie Brother Bear. Koda is a form of Dakota and it means "The Ally" or "Little Bear" while the name Dakota means "friend" in the Dakota language.

    Hollering FREDDY at 6am wouldn't be too embarrassing unless your neighbor is a Fred ?

    Congrats on finding H2.0 (Avery). Paddy must be thrilled to have a doppelganger he can pin his antics on ;)

    Then you need barn cats named Knick and Knack.
    "Knick, Knack, Paddy, Mac, come and get your food...."

    My MIL was so bad at naming that one of her colts stayed "Colti" until he was sold. We still refer to him as Colti.

    Tristan was almost Rienzi, after Philip Sheridan's horse in the Civil War, famous for his endurance and speed and later renamed Winchester.
